NOTHING TASTES BETTER THAN SUCCESS AFTER HARD WORK

It was just another lazy sunday morning(lazy because u have got nothing to push u out of bed) and as usual i did not find anything motivating about the masala dosa my mom had prepared. Its not that it is not prepared well but just that i hate dosas and more so when it has a stuffing of onions and unhealthy potatoes topped with lots of turmeric and mustard!!! this recipe might be good enough to get 100 million south indians off their beds but 100 kgs of me would not budge to this;no ways and so i just spent the next 37 odd minutes on the bed fiddling with my cell and checking out some international news on the mangalore edition of THE HINDU as i had already finished rest of the paper and all that was left was international news.bowel movements start exactly when u reach the crunch of the editorial and then all i could do was to rush to the loo. once out of bed it takes less than 17 minutes to get fresh for the day and i was back to bed but this time not to sleep just relax. with tv switched on and i started what i am best at when it comes to television, surfing and surfing i did with a gap of not more than 3 seconds between channels i surfed through all the available 102 channels twice in less than 10 minutes and still i found nothing interesting on it and when that happens i put on NDTV GOOD TIMES at least good times they promise in the name!!tv was on and i got busy solving su-do-ku .i was left with 4 boxes to fill when one of the programs i like chakle india with chef aditya bal started. the dish on show was `kacchi murg ki dum biryani` and i casually followed the recipe.and being a gastronaut of the highest order that i am the preparation was heavenly and the appearance mouth watering.and as the show ended i decided i was going to prepare the same for everyone at home today, by everyone i mean 3 of us,me and my parents. at 1100 i went out shopping some essential requirements which included basmati rice, chicken, curd and some spices. i was back by 1130 and got to preparing my tryst with cooking something major for the first time in my 25 years of purposeful living.i had a realisation halfway through the cooking that 1) its not rocket science;not that tough afterall and 2) its not a cakewalk either;not all that easy too!!.over next 1hr 20 minutes i did things as per chefs instructions .table was arranged and plates placed and fingers crossed i took the cooker to the table and with eager eyes of my parents watching i opened the lid and the aroma of the finely cooked spices and rich texture of the rice reassured me and i proceeded with more confidence and served . all of us kept eating for the next 15 minutes without talking much . and once we were done with it parents appreciated the preparation and i felt great. its not that i ve not eaten better biryanis in my life but just the fact that when something results from your own efforts its just a touch better,at least feels better.

idea behind this post: success after hard work tastes better, so work hard ,succeed...
